Ramblings Of A Mad Mother Of 4

I almost forgot 15 minutes before we left the house, we were listening to the Radio and I hear this question " what song did Bone Thugs n Harmony receive an Award for", so without thinking I picked up the phone and dialled, I got through to the MC told her my answer, and to my surprise she replied "congratulations you've won" I could not beleive it ( oh and the answer by the way was "Crossroads" you remember the one "Ill see you at the crossroads, crossroads, see you at the crossroads and Im gonna miss everybody").

So I won but didn't hear what the prize was so here's to me "yeahhhhhhhhhh hip hip hooray"

We left the house at 11:30ish, in plenty of time to get to Gosnells and the Park was packed, We only had one family turn up but we had a lovely time with them and put it down to the fact that the Babies and Childens expo was on also. Bailey was our real live bear with her bear suit on, strolling around the park with Skye holding her hand, she thought she was the bees knees, (and I must admit so did we think she was   ) We even had the pleasure of a Possum visiting us to say Hello, she (Im assuming it was a she) came out on the branch, sat there long enough for everyone to take photo's and then dissapeared into her hollow in the tree again, only too appear again several minutes later peeking around the branch which made for a lovely photo oppurtunity which of course I captured.

We all enjoyed our picnic and play at the park, we stayed for around an hour and a half until the other family had to leave as their little boy was not very well...........................

We went into the Shopping centre with our daughter wearing her Teddy Bear suit, the whole shopping centre went gooey, and this one little girl in particular about 2 and a bit was staring at her like it was the best thing she had ever seen, so my Daughter walks up to her waving, and gives her a massive cuddle, this little girl didn't know what to do, she jumped back in amazement with this huge smile on her face.

On the way back from the shopsas we are heading across the Railway crossing, we saw the most frightening thing, the road is two lanes off a roundabout crossing over Train Tracks forming into one lane, a stupid set up, but hey what can you say.

The lights start flashingand the bells start up for you to stop, we stop and this elderly guy in the car next door keeps going onto the tracks and then stops on the tracks, yep ON the tracks, instead of just going (which he would of cleared the tracks) he strarts to reverse back onto the tracks and by this time the train is coming aaarrghhhhhhhhh, anyway he reverses right up to the boom gate and...

Here we are Happily Driving along minding our own Business, making our way home from Spearwood and out of nowhere say about one car length ahead  these Police Lights start Flashing and they block the road with their unmarked car, they jump out Guns raised, we  move over lanes just intime to see that there is a motorcyle  lying in the middle of the road next to the Police car ( now I must add we did not see the bike at ALL). Now what happened in that 5 Seconds or so is beyond me, but We assume that the Police had been chasing this guy on the Bike ( he had no lights on, so he was invisible) he obviously gone around the corner too fast ( and it had been raining) and he slipped round the corner rather than Driving round it, and ended up on the floor, the Police were then able to pull up alongside him and get him, but the question I ask is why was this happening in front of us, because a few seconds later and we would of ran straight over the Bike and it's rider, Thank god for small mercy's I say................................

Today we met The Channel 7 News Team in Armadale , We happen to just be in the right place at the right time and my daughter was able to get two autographs ok, so I know they are not FAMOUS, but to Children it's cool to meet anyone from the TV.

So we pulled over and out jumps my Daughter, runs over to this white Station Wagon marked with a channel 7 sticker and asks if they are on the Tv, so the guy sitting in the Drivers seat say's Im not but Louise is pointing to the young blonde lady sitting next to him, who is searching for some paper and a pen with a huge smile on her face, so in the mean time we are sat in the parking space opposite watching the reactions (so funny), so Loiuse asks my daughter her name and makes the message personal, with her autograph , my daughter said Thank you had a bit of a chat and then come running back, with the biggest smile on her face. We watched Louise for a moment and could hear the giggles from our van, as her Partner teased her about her "fame"...

A Fantastic day out that I really beleived was not going to be a huge success, you see the Weather had teased me all week.

I picked a date and stuck by it saying to our children that no matter what we would go to the park anyway, (it didn't look good) the weather report said that it would be raining all week (including Saturday).

So Saturday ticked around and it had rained all week, a few people contacted me and asked if we were still going and of course the answer was yes.

So we drove up to Kings Park not knowing what to expect.....................

We had 27 people turn up including 12 Adults 15 Children, There were all different age groups from 6 weeks through to 13 years, (and Adults Im sure would like to have to have their age groups kept a secret)

The Weather held out the entire time we were there, started to sprinkle as we drove off. 

It was great to see all the kids playing together ( and even the Adults ), We played Parachute Games and Relay races, and I think between the 15 children of ours that were there they wore  out...

We arranged a meet at Short Notice for Wed 18/7 on Monday evening and I was totally stunned by how many Mums actually wanted to attend.

I had heaps of of replies from Mums who wanted to attend but had to work or had other arrangements.

In the end we had 5 mums in all and from as far stratched as Joondalup, Thornlie, Armadale, Cannington and Victoria Park.

We had 9 children all up aged 6 weeks  to 8 years and almost everything in between. Who were all very well behaved.

All in all in was a great afternoon with everyone feeling comfortable with each other and deciding that we will all meet again.

The children all enjoyed themselves playing in the activity area in the forum, and all the age groups came together it was great to see.
